When Leo leaves for university his relationship with his long-term girlfriend falls apart. However, as Leo begins to move on and finds a new romantic interest, he gradually realises that what he has just entered into is an abusive relationship. 

This story delves into masculinity at its most vulnerable and the repercussions that arise from what Leo is experiencing.

When Love Hits is heartfelt, hard hitting and honest; a true story about an abusive relationship by young writer Leo Shepherd (Essex Have Mercy, Harlow Playhouse).
