The Moors

The next in-house production at the Hope will be the UK professional premiere of Jen Silverman's THE MOORS, which we will be staging this autumn. Positions we are looking to fill will be listed on this page, and also through ArtsJobs, OpenHire and our social media accounts. Casting will take place in July 2022 and roles will be advertised through Spotlight and Mandy.

LIGHTING DESIGNER
The Hope Theatre are seeking a Lighting Designer for their next in-house production, the UK professional premiere of Jen Silverman’s THE MOORS. The production will be rehearsed during September and October 2022, with four weeks of performances at the Hope Theatre between 11th October and 5th November 2022.

Key dates -
Get-in and technical rehearsals: 9th - 11th October 2022
Performances: 11th October - 5th November 2022 (previews 11th & 12th October, press night 13th October)
Get-out: 5th November 2022

The Lighting Designer fee will be £1000.

STAGE MANAGER
The Hope Theatre are seeking a Stage Manager for their next in-house production, the UK professional premiere of Jen Silverman’s THE MOORS. The production will be rehearsed at the Hope Theatre or other London rehearsal spaces September and October 2022, with four weeks of performances at the Hope Theatre between 11th October and 5th November 2022.

The Hope Theatre has a House Agreement with Equity, guaranteeing all performers and stage management a legal wage. The Stage Manager will be paid according to the House Agreement, including holiday pay.

Note that the Stage Manager will operate the sound and lighting at each performance.

Key dates -
Rehearsals: either 12th September - 8th October, or 19th September - 8th October 2022
Get-in and technical rehearsals: 9th - 11th October 2022
Performances: 11th October - 5th November 2022 (previews 11th & 12th October, press night 13th October)
Get-out: 5th November 2022
