ASYLUM KING

17th - 18th January

8.30PM
£12/£10

Who killed the man in Room 47?
Who’s cashing in on his death?
And why does Britain’s newest billionaire get richer every time the Home Office “tightens the rules”?

Ambitious, sharp-tongued journalist Fran Marlowe is desperate to make a name for herself and sees the death of an asylum seeker in a privately-run asylum hotel as her big break. What starts as a straightforward investigation – cause of death, a few interviews, a splashy headline – quickly twists into a murky web of cover-ups when key evidence vanishes. As Fran digs deeper, the trail leads her through state-sponsored profiteering, radicalization, systemic neglect, and the shadow of possible murder – uncovering a conspiracy that stretches far beyond one lifeless body.

Funny, furious, and full of wrong turns and reversals, Asylum King is a whodunit where the mystery isn’t who did it – it’s how far we’re all willing to go to keep pretending we didn’t.
