WRITE CLUB
JANUARY
Write Club is our yearly festival of new work that highlights bold new stories with BIG ideas. It is open to anyone with a piece of writing just waiting for that debut performance or a theatre maker with a new idea.​​
Up to thirty shows are selected by The Hope Theatre’s Literary Team and each show successfully selected for the Festival will be given a run of two - four shows or a rehearsed reading.
In addition, each writer will be given support from the venue and invited to socials with other companies involved in the festival. ​

WIP WEEK
JULY
Every July up to 12 artists are selected to stage a work-in-progress performance across one week on shows.
​
There are no conditions excepting that these pieces should never have been performed before.
We will work with the selected artists to assist in development (if requested), and there are no hire charges.

BOK FEST
JUNE
BokFest is a festival of queer new writing run yearly by Springbok Production House (our associate company).

From an open call out for scripts, cast and creative team, 6-8 plays are produced in a short run format across 4 weeks.
