MOUSE

3 - 6 August

£16/£18

7PM

‘You were my first girlfriend. So sorry, but maybe I don’t want you to be a mouse!'

Gemma has been cursed by an evil wizard. She’s a mouse 364 days a year.

To become human again, she must shag someone who has truly loved her - but did her only ex ever REALLY love her?

‘Mouse’ is an absurdist queer comedy about love, who gets to decide what counts as love and the ridiculous bargains we make to feel whole. It’s silly, sapphic and surreal, complete with flamboyant mystics, a Guinea-pig-loving paternal figure and plenty of West Yorkshire charm! Expect to laugh, cry, and probably go ‘what the actual fuck’ too.

This is Alice Sparrow’s second play. Her first won the National Theatre’s New Views prize and was later commissioned by Audible. She and Aimee have been developing ‘Mouse’ as a pair since they were receptionists together, and after scratch nights and a rehearsed reading, this is the first time they are fully staging their baby!
