Throughout Shakespeare’s plays, the moon is often chastised for being ‘inconstant,’ ‘envious,’ and ‘making men mad.’
What would her story be if she could be the one to tell it?
Blending verse, myth, and contemporary text, ‘revolution’ reimagines Romeo & Juliet from the eyes of the moon. It places Selene center stage and celebrates the trials and tribulations of the young lunar goddess who is learning how to live (and love) in a universe that has already decided her destiny.
