The Wake follows El and their family in the aftermath of their mother's passing.

Set in a single day at her wake & we see the comical, messy, and nuanced unravelling of the family's dynamic as they navigate their profound loss, with all of the Catholic kitsch that comes with it.

The Wake hits on real experiences of grief, and the loss of what could've been.
