“I got fu*ked around, by a bunch of fu*king fu*kers who said “f*ck” live on television. F*cking hell.”

1st December 1976. Early evening. A mean-eyed, bitter drunk with old-school values goads the frontrunners of a new sound into swearing on live television.

It finished him, made stars of them, and outraged the nation. But what happened next?

Meet Bill Grundy, some years after his infamous live interview with the Sex Pistols on the Today Show. Fortunately, he has managed to land a new job with Southern Television presenting CLOSE UP ON CASTLES, a delightful programme which shows close-ups of castles and is directed by Julian. Can Bill survive being this close to castles (and Julian) as he reminisces about that fateful interview and eulogises on youth, middle age, drinking, the decline of society, and those unemployable scrota the Sex Pistols?

To mark the 50th anniversary of THAT interview, multiple London Pub Theatre and Fringe Theatre Awards nominees Stage D’Or present AFTER TODAY.
