It gets hungry. It has sex. It bleeds. Sometimes it grows something you do not want. Sometimes it doesn’t.

Over six years, it takes a woman four abortions to realise she’s not infertile. Babies appear in dreams, at work, in politics, in other people’s lives, but, somehow, she just can’t get the hint.

Eater of Filth is a one-woman show about abortion, sex, work, shame, responsibility and the strange things we ask women to make sense of. 

Funny, filthy and occasionally haunting, it asks what happens when something you were told should be the most important thing in the world is, for you, simply not what you wanted.
